Southern Cross, run by Martin and Fiona Mead, was the smallest exhibitor in the Dorper sheep section with three rams and two ewes, but won Grand Champion in both Ram and Ewe categories as well as Most Successful Dorper exhibitor.
All five sheep won prizes in their respective classes.
The Grand Champion Ram was 17 months old (born in 2014) and the Grand Champion Ewe was an eight-month old.
Southern Cross also won the Peter Taylor Memorial Trophy for a group of three sheep under one year – a five month old ram and two eight month ewes.
